Red Tail Roasters
Small-Batch. Naturally Processed.
Red Tail Roasters is a woman-owned roaster based in Evergreen, Colorado. While searching for a name, Janessa encountered six red-tailed hawks in one day. She has always believed in paying attention to the signs nature gives us.
The same connection to nature carries into the coffee. Every bean is naturally processed allowing the whole coffee fruit to dry slowly in the sun and develop deep, layered flavors that reflect the land where it was grown.
Each batch is roasted in small quantities, letting the coffee become what it was always meant to be. No corners cut here.
Ceramic Work
Vessels Made by Hand
Inspired by the same earthy, natural tones found in coffee roasting, Janessa's pottery is made by hand in a palette of warm, organic colors. Each piece is shaped carefully and with love, made for everyday rituals and, more often than not, a really good cup of joe.
Handcrafted, without corners.
Learn & Create
Come Make Something
All classes are held at Janessa's home studio in Evergreen — a quiet space where one can slow down, get their hands into something real, and leave with something to be proud of.
Home Roasting Workshop
Sit down with a fresh cup and learn to roast your own coffee from green beans. You'll learn the process, choose your own bean from a variety of locations (only naturally processed of course), and go home with two bags, roasted by you! ($75 per person)
Private & small group sessions available (max 4 people)
Private Pottery Lessons
Get messy at the wheel or hand building, no experience needed. We will take the first class to learn and create for three hours. The second class will be trimming and finishing your creations for about an hour. The third class will be sanding down and glazing your pieces for an hour. And then you can pick up your completed pieces or we can rendezvous somewhere fun. ($150 per person for a total of 3-4 sessions)
One-on-one instruction, all materials included (max 2 people)
